We can’t get over this stunning #aerial image of Sagrada Familia, taken from a #drone. An #icon of #Barcelona, the Roman Catholic #church has an interesting #history. Construction was started in 1882, with celebrated architect Antoni Gaudi taking over the massive project the next year. Work went on slowly, and was interrupted for a while after Gaudi’s death in 1926 and then during the #Spanish Civil War. His work on the #cathedral has earned it #UNESCO recognition. It’s still not complete (optimists think it might be done by 2026), but it’s an integral part of the #city #skyline.
